Elena wins again!

27. 8. 2021

Elena traveled with a 40 points lead to the sixth round of the International Czech Woman Championship in Petrovice u Karvine, which took place on Sunday, August 22. The aim was to increase the lead because the MSV-Schwanenstadt rider will not be at the start gate at the next championship run due to her start at the FIM World Championship in Turkey.
In the qualification, Elena was able to achieve the best time with a lead of 2.6 seconds.

Race 1: Elena’s start was good, but not perfect. This led to contact with two other riders. As a result, Elena ?only? turned 4th into the second corner. At the end of the first lap Elena was already in 2nd place. The Upper Austrian was able to close the gap on the leader quickly. However, Elena didn’t want to take any risk and was satisfied with P2 in the first run.

Race 2: This time Elena’s start was very good. With the fast GasGas MC 250F the Schwanenstadt native was able to achieve a holeshot. With a series of fast laps Elena was able to pull out a lead of over 21 seconds on the world championship rider Kristyna Vitkova and win the run with confidence. Thus the 25 championship points for race two were secured and the lead in the championship expanded to 47 points.

The daily ranking looked like this:
1. Elena Kapsamer
2. Kristyna Vitkova
3. Barbora Lankova

?Since I won’t be at the start in Czech Republic in two weeks because of the World Championship races in Turkey, it was necessary to score as many points as possible last weekend.
Petrovice is a narrow track and therefore very difficult to overtake. Although this race was very important to me, I couldn’t risk too much. With a lead of 47 points, I now have every chance of winning the championship with one race less. But now it is important to focus on the two World Championship races in Turkey. My training will be completely geared towards this for the next two weeks. Thanks again to all of my supporters and sponsors.?
