HIGH-VOLTAGE CABLES

The ignition cables supply high voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plug in each engine cylinder. Must be resistant to thermal and mechanical stress, vibration, chemicals, and atmospheric humidity. Must have electrical conductivity and strength, but also interference elimination. On one hand, it must fulfil the requirements of engine manufacturers and on the other the ISO and ECE 10 requirements.

We can classify the spark cables for cars and commercial vehicles with petrol engines according to several criteria. Versions with copper core, resistive core and inductive core. According to the composition for engines with distributor, without distributor and semi-direct – that is for direct ignition coil. Another division is by type of insulation and kind of outer shell etc. Ignition cables do not require regular maintenance and when replacing them, it is preferable to follow the manufacturer?s recommendations and not make the price the main criterion, but prefer quality.
